Recycle Your Old Aligners at Our Oakdale Dental Office
At Blackhart Dentistry, we believe caring for your smile and caring for the environment go hand in hand. That is why we recently launched an Invisalign clear aligner recycling program, and we are proud to be one of the few dental offices in the area making this available to the community.
Why Aligner Recycling Matters
Clear aligners are made from a combination of plastics that cannot be recycled through standard city recycling programs. Most end up in landfills, even when patients want to do the right thing. Our recycling program gives those aligners a second life instead.
How It Works
We recycle used clear aligners through TerraCycle, a company specializing in recovering hard-to-recycle materials. Once collected, the aligners are processed and repurposed into new materials rather than ending up in a landfill.
Dropping off your aligners is simple:
- Bring your used clear aligners to our Oakdale office
- Keep them in their plastic bags because those can be recycled too!
- Leave them with our front desk team
- We handle the rest
Open to the Whole Community
You do not have to be a Blackhart Dentistry patient to participate. If you are currently in treatment with another provider and want a responsible way to dispose of your old aligners, you are welcome to use our office as a drop-off location. No appointment needed.
